Privacy policy

The short version: this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and no tracking, and loads nothing from other companies.

1. Who is responsible

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Alexander Fieder
aDJusted – Made by DJs
Ahrfeldstr. 33, 45136 Essen, Germany
E-mail: dj@adjusted.club

2. Visiting this website: hosting and server log files

This website runs on a server that we rent from netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany, in a data centre in Vienna, Austria (European Union). netcup processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The server itself is operated by us.

Whenever you open a page, the web server automatically records:

  • your IP address, shortened before it is stored (for IPv4 the last of four blocks is removed, for IPv6 everything after the first three blocks), so it no longer points to your connection,
  • date and time of the request,
  • the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred and how long it took,
  • whether the request succeeded (status code),
  • the page you came from (referrer), if your browser sends it,
  • browser and operating system, as your browser reports them.

We need this to deliver the website to you and to keep it secure, for example to detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A new log file is started every day, and log files are deleted automatically after 7 days at the latest, unless a specific incident requires us to keep individual entries longer as evidence. Error messages of the server system are deleted after 7 days as well.

While a connection is being established, the full IP address is technically needed; it is not written to the access log. The connection is encrypted (TLS).

3. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party services

This website does not set cookies, does not store anything in your browser and does not use analytics or advertising services. Fonts and images are served from our own server; your browser does not contact Google or any other provider.

4. When you e-mail us – including applications for the beta

If you write to us, we process your e-mail address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message – in the case of a beta application, also what you tell us about your music, your equipment and your Mac.

We use this data only to answer you and, for beta applications, to select testers, to run the beta and to improve aDJusted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns taking part in the beta, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

E-mail to our address is handled by Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited), which processes it on our behalf. We delete messages once your request has been dealt with, and beta applications when the beta ends – unless statutory retention periods require us to keep them longer.

Links to other websites are ordinary links. Nothing is transferred to them until you click; after that, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies.

6. Your rights

You have the right

  • to obtain information about the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • to have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • to have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR) or its processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • to receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • to withdraw any consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

An e-mail to dj@adjusted.club is enough. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for us: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

7. Scope

This policy covers this website. The aDJusted app has its own privacy policy for the app.
