A plugin for your DAW

One track in, four tracks out: drums, bass, vocals and the rest – in Logic, Ableton or whatever else you work in, worked out on your own Mac.

Where it stands: there is a prototype, and it runs. It is not finished. This page says what we are working on – it promises no date, no price, and not that every line here will still hold in the end.

What it does

  • Four tracks instead of one. Drums, bass, vocals and the rest, each on its own output – to work on, filter or turn away.
  • On your Mac. The separation runs on the graphics chip, not on a server. Nothing is uploaded, and it needs no account and no internet connection.
  • A separation of its own. Not the same one as in aDJusted: our own design, built to run inside a DAW – and still being worked on.

What is not settled yet

Formats
Audio Unit and VST3, for macOS on Apple silicon – the separation needs Metal. Windows would take a different engine; nobody is working on that.
Delay
The separation needs a run-up, and the plugin reports it to the DAW. That is enough for mixing. It is not enough for playing in while monitoring – record through the plugin and you hear yourself too late.
How well it separates
Being worked on. What is in the prototype today is not the state it will be released in.
When, and for how much
Neither is settled. We would rather say nothing than something wrong.
